As for whether Les Miles has the best 2-year start ever by going 22-4, I would say not. Bernie Moore went 18-3-1 in 1935 and 1936, losing two Sugar Bowls, but remember, bowl games didn't count back in those days. They were just for fun, and I'm sure the LSU football players probably spent too much time in the French Quarter in the days before the game. With a 2-year regular season record of 18-1-1, LSU laid claim to back-to-back national championships. In fact, after losing his first regular season game to Rice, 10-7, Bernie Moore went on a record 23-game regular-season unbeaten streak. Also, after losing his first game as a coach at home to Rice, Moore won his next 17 games in Tiger Stadium, which is the current record. Miles, after losing his first game in Tiger Stadium, has currently won 13 straight there.

Other good starts include W.S. Boreland going 11-2 over 1901 and 1902, and Edgar R. Wingard going 17-3 over 1907 and 1908, including the first national championship by a Southern school in 1908 on the 10-0 team led by Doc Fenton, who was rumored to have been a professional. Charles McClendon started off nice with a 9-1-1 record in 1962, but had an off year in 1963. In modern times, Bill Arnsparger's 17-5-2 start, Mike Archer's 18-5-1 start, Gerry DiNardo's 17-6-1 start, and Nick Saban's 18-7 start weren't bad, but weren't as good as Miles's.

Oh man, I love this ESPN mini-series! I can say enough about it. This is the real shit that goes down on competitive baseball teams with big egos. I remember this kind of stuff distinctly on my 12-year-old and 13-year-old games. People talk about how baseball is boring, but I don't think they fully realize how much drama it can produce.

By the way, which Reggie Jackson phrase do you like better? "I'm the straw that stirs the drink," or the infamous "magnitude of me" comment? Jackson, Munson, Martin, Steinbrenner. It'll take a man like George Constanza (or maybe Joe Torre?) to pull these Yankees together!

I looked at Noland's website, and yeah, it was kind of cool, but in the end, I have to listen to what Kige tells me. I already conceded that having a myspace page was pretty gay. I also cited to the fact that Ryles, Swilley, and also Marshall, and Noland also have pages, which removes a significant amount of gayness from it. (Noland's site is actually pretty damn interesting). At least my page isn't too tricked out with all that extra-gay stuff you can put on there.

Kige, in all his glory, deriding myspace pedophilia from the confines of the automotive section of walmart just seems creepy. Is it just me or did I see a knowing glance or wink at the end of that segment? You should check your sources, Truck. I think your house may be built on sand on this one.

Come on, Gibb. How can you possibly claim not to be a pedophile when you are in fact a 30-something-year-old guy with a MySpace page? Facebook? I got a myspace page, but I fully concede that myspace is pretty gay (4 out of 5 rainbows). But Swilley and Ryles have Myspace pages too. So that says a lot. Although I'm not sure what it says a lot of...Plus these pedophiles and stuff keep sending me dirty messages. I'm certainly not into that!

On a lighter note, LSU seems poised to kick some crazy ba-donka-donk butt this season. Isn't it about time we embrace Les? Does he have the best 2 season start ever or what??
